Love thy real self

Nowadays, the esoteric scene is full of recipes for “loving yourself”.

But isn’t everything very much depending on how we define love?

M. Scott Peck writes: “To love someone means to support the other soul in reaching the spiritual goal.”
I very much like that.

And if I don’t know who I truly am (beginning from the self esteem as a jiva soul up to identifying with my desired siddha deha), how can I truly love “my self”?
What to speak of REALLY loving someone else?

Only soul-to-soul love is real, it will pervade the whole being, body, mind and ultimately the  soul, with the final zenith in pure love for Sri Sri Radha Mohan.

Also there is jiva-daya: compassion/love/empathy with or to the soul.
If I am not practicing jiva-daya to my own soul (meaning doing bhakti), how can I do jiva-daya towards others?

Without knowing the REAL person who I am (the understanding of being a spiritual person with a particular relationship with the Divine Couple), all talks of REAL love are completely on the mental platform.

Spiritual self love or self worth is not like an esoteric ego-trip.
It is the foundation of real love.

When we love our divinity, it is real.
When we love our bodily identification, it is unreal.
