The mercy of the Vaishnavas

“I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Vaishnava devotees of the Lord. They are just like desire trees and can fulfill the desires of everyone, and they are full of compassion for the fallen conditioned souls.”

This might be my most personal blog ever.

Vaishnavas are called “kalpa-tarubhya”, they are like desire-trees. How wonderful is this? Those who read these lines are merciful desire-trees,
ready to shower their mercy unto us conditioned souls.

Right now, me and my wife go through an immensely tough time.
Unfortunately, recently we suffered from two serious family tragedies.

On Friday September 4th at 4:15 am, the son of my brother in law and his wife died in intensive care after having been born 2 days before.
Fortunately, my wife and I were with the little boy until he left this world.
My wife chanted into his ears and put the dust from Sri Radhakund on his forehead shortly before he left his little body.

We stayed with the young parents in the hospital during these bitter times.

The young family, my wife´s brother and his wife, then stayed in our house for 4 nights. We took care of them and I cooked a lot of prasadam.
We felt very protected by Krishna. They were with us during Janmastami AND Radhastami.

But needless to say, parents and both grandparents and we all involved were devastated and it will take a long time for them to heal the wound of such a deep loss.

Then, on Saturday, November the 21th, the mother of the little boy who died, suffered from a severe cardiac infarct (heart attack).

The doctors implanted 5 stents into the veins of the heart and she is still in intensive care.

By the mercy of both our Gurudevas and by the mercy of the Vaishnavas we can be there for the young couple and we try to support them as best as we can.

In all humility I beg all Vaishnavas and friends who read this, please include them in your prayers.
You are all desire-trees and right now, our only desire is that they can recover and return to a life of happiness…in whichever way it may reveal itself for the best of them.

From the core of my heart I thank you very much for your time and in advance, for your wonderful prayers.

Jay Sri Radhe.
