The charm and superiority of dahi-vada over fall-vada

It is a fascinating thing. Once in a while, the old discussion comes up again.
Did we fall from the spiritual world or not?

Actually, Sri Krishna answers this question perfectly in His own powerful words:

Bhagavad-gita 8.15
mām upetya punar janma / duḥkhālayam aśāśvatam
nāpnuvanti mahātmānaḥ / saṁsiddhiṁ paramāṁ gatāḥ

The mahātmas, having attained Me, do not take birth again in this temporary world which is the abode of misery, for they have attained the highest perfection

Bhagavad gita 8.16
ā-brahma-bhuvanāl lokāḥ / punar āvarttino ‘rjuna
mām upetya tu kaunteya / punar janma na vidyate

O Arjuna, all planets in this universe up to Brahma-loka are places of repeated birth and death, but one who attains Me, O Kaunteya, never takes birth again.

Sri Krishna´s realm is a realm completely „made“ of His inner potency, His svarupa-sakti.
The material world described in verse 16 is a place of „repeated bith and death“.
The material world described here is „made“ of Krishna´s external potency, His maya-sakti.

We, the living entities, are a total different energy. We are „made“ of the marginal potency, Krishna´s tatastha-sakti.
By definition, we, the souls (jivas) are not „with Krishna“ since beginningless time, but we are „with maya“ since beginningless time (anadi).

There are two different kinds of souls: those who are eternally free and WITH Krishna (nitya siddhas = eternally PERFECT) and those who are bound since beginningless time (nitya baddhas = bound without a beginning and without a cause).

By the grace of Krishna, the souls who are bound and caught up here in the material world can enter the realm where Krishna plays His eternal pastimes. So, the bondage „exists“ since beginningless time, BUT can be ended by reaching perfection. How? By practicing „LOVING DEVOTION“, BHAKTI.

Krishna Himself says that „those who attained perfection“ will NEVER TAKE BIRTH AGAIN.
We can understand here that something is to be „ATTAINED“…not re-awakened.

“krti-sadhya bhavet sadhya-
bhava sa sadhanabhidha
nitya-siddhasya bhavasya
prakatyam hrdi sadhyata“

“Action of the senses, which produces the stage of bhava, is called sadhana-bhakti. This attained state of bhava-bhakti (sadhyata) is an eternal sthayi-bhava which is not created, but simply manifests within the soul by the spiritual energy of the Lord.”
Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu, 1.2.2

Krishna does not say:
„Yeah, well, of course you have always been with Me in My lila. But due to being envious of Me, you fell down from here. When you come back, who can tell if you want to stay?“

If we, the souls, have been with Krishna and if we all fell down from the spiritual world, then these two verses of the Bhagavad-gita would make no sense at all.

And by the way, the „envy-trip“ is sheer madness. ENVY is a material quality. Material qualities can by DEFINITION never „enter“ the realm of Sri Krishna. Actually, we have to give up ALL these qualities which bind us here to this world.
All qualities THERE aim at PLEASING THE DIVINE COUPLE.

Some even go as far as to say that we fell down while dancing the RASA-dance with Krishna.
This is the MOST absurd idea ever to enter the mind.
To be able to ENTER the RASA-DANCE is a very difficult thing and only possible for raganuga-bhaktas who attained perfection by the grace of Sri Gurudeva.
Only by following the gopis of Vrindavana can a jiva enter Goloka Vrindavana and only after reaching the highest stage possible in this material body. Then the realized soul is „transported“ into the womb of a gopi in prakat-lila to develop the even more higher stages of bhakti.

This is what Sri Krishna means by „attaining Me“ and by „attaining perfection“. Once ATTAINED, there is zero chance of falling down.

If we were with Krishna since eternal time, we would actually ALL be fallen nitya-siddhas, which is again by definition IMPOSSIBLE.
For souls who are with Krishna in Goloka Vrindavana, there is NOTHING to „attain“…their perfection is eternal. Their only existence is based on serving Sri Sri Radha and Krishna.

It is for us who swim in the ocean of material existence that there is EVERYTHING to attain: PREMA-BHAKTI.

So, instead of wasting time with endless „FALL-VADA“ (the path of falldown) we should go and soak some rice and urid dal overnight, put it in a blender the next day, spice it and deep fry some little batches from the doughy mass.
Then, when fried golden brown, we should throw these batches or balls (VADAS) in dahi (yoghurt) and offer it to Sri Krishna.
This way we make rapid advancement compared to adhering to a theory which is based on FALL-VADA and destined to fall DOWN.

Thus the superiority of DAHI-VADA is proven over FALL-VADA.
